Planned obsolescence

Post by ditto1958 » Sat Jan 13, 2018 3:38 pm

I have an iPad Mini, a gen 2,that still performs perfectly well for what I need/use it for. Except the charging port is worn out, and the battery is also wearing out.

I could get it fixed, but that would take time and money. And I’d be without my iPad. :(

I new one is $400, substantially more than what I paid for my current one. I also don’t need any of the improvements the new one may have.

Humbug.

Can't you just replace the battery, or isn't that feasible?

Well, they are replaceable, but by the time I’d get that and the charging port done, the cost would start adding up.
