Buck Fixed-Blade Photo Shoot
Buck Fixed-Blade Photo Shoot
Mid-November already, and I'm out on the patio today watering plants that are still in full bloom!
As I looked around, I decided it would be fun to get my two Buck fixed-blade knives out for a photo shoot.
My knife collection is still quite small, but the folders (85%) outnumber the fixed-blades (15%). I'm working to remedy that unfair distribution!! I plan to have at least one more fixed-blade added in this year....then on to 2017!
Here are the "sharp" photos I took today--just for fun, just for looking at!

Nice looking knives, I like your stones too. It has been mild for this time of year around here also, but I'm sure that will change in the near future.

Yes, I do. But cannot quite figure why, because of how very much I like the looks of quality wood on both rifles and knives. As of right now, the Henry/Case collaboration Trapper knife I have with Antique River Log handle cannot be matched.
Today I was looking at the "Knives of Alaska" web pages, and found a fixed-blade, which I'd like to get. Maybe the term has been in other knife descriptions, but it was the first time I read the word skeleton in referring to a knife handle: •Austere "skeletonized" knurled handle•
The description of "austere" is quite appealing.
Sure is fun discovering my "likes" in knives.

Two really nice knives, and excellent photos.
There is something really visceral about a well made knife. I doubt if anybody could really define the feeling. It just "is". Or do I need therapy?

Those are very cool. I hope you're able to get the handles one day too.
