SAK tool -- simple and diminutive
I like to "window shop" the SAK web site because these knives are my very favorite brand. Kinda keep my eye out for different model blades, especially those which are dressed in Alox handles. Well, I didn't get real far this surfing session when I found a new SAK tool, the Nail Clipper.
I have two nail clippers and both are in dire need of replacement. Just haven't found a quality set in the stores. I don't think there is any risk about quality by getting this SAK tool made out of stainless steel. SAK has some other nail clippers, but most come as part of a multi-tool, and that seems somewhat bulky to me. So I ordered this standalone tool. I also like the familiar SAK "look." The scale material is the SAK traditional red ABS/cellidor. I always thought that color against stainless steel was a great look. This will fit perfectly on my key ring, or can add a lanyard.
A lot of hooey about nail clippers, right? It was just a fun find, and thought I'd post it as an "...other thing with an edge."

Neither did I, Jim.
On the SAK web site, there is a link that says "New Arrivals." This product is one of them. I don't know their criterion for "new," e.g. by date I'd guess. But sorting by newest these clippers were at the top of the page.

All their items are high quality. Those are unique. Did not know they existed either.

Just ordered one. Have a decent quality clipper but with my worsening arthritis and carpel tunnel in my left hand they're getting more difficult to use. These look like they will be a lot more comfortable to use.
Thanks

I keep a foldable nail clipper with me on my keychain at all times. Chef's are continually chipping nails, getting hang nails, and they really are a pain when trying to work. Nice find!!

I ordered mine here
https://www.swissknifeshop.com/collecti ... nomic-grip
Extra $1.50 but it was the first site that showed up when I googled it.

I may order a second one to keep in my locker at the bowling alley. I have to keep my 2 bowling fingernails very short or I will break them when I throw my ball. Sometimes forget to trim them before I go and then have to trim them with my leatherman scissors.

I've ordered directly from the SAK site before. This time because of the holiday season, happened to run into two days of "no shipping" with no $$ restriction. So I didn't search further. Did pay a small tax amount however.dave77 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:26 pmI ordered mine here

I had to quit looking after ordering the clippers. Way too easy for me to pick up another SAK and add to my collection! I use my SAKs about every day. This new tool will come in quite "handy" whenever used.
