Skinning knife

Post by Ozarkwoodswalker » Wed Dec 18, 2019 4:16 pm

A pair of skinning knives i got from a knife maker from Newfoundland, made of D2 steel, ironwood handles. Pretty reasonable price for a knife made after a picture I sent to him.im pleased anyway.

VERY nice!!
Exactly what I would have loved to have when I was still bear hunting.
Perfect skinning blade and beautiful handles! Congrats. Well worth whatever you paid I'm sure.

A nice guy who loves making knives...I have no skin in the game cause I've never met him personally. But would certainly pass on his contact number to anyone interested in talking to him about making a custom knife for them I found him extremely reasonably priced wide for the quality of work you get

I really like the shape of his blades .... times have sure changed, a much different silhouette than the Old Timer skinners that I've carried and used for the last 50 some years

Those knives have certainly seen some good use. My Case Ridgeback with rosewood handles has a similar shape.
