about a year ago a friend who we camp with told me that he was interested in making knives .... our sons and I looked around and found several old mower blades for him to use .... below are pictures of his first blade .... the handle is made from rose wood .... its extremely sharp

Once again, I have to comment on such a beautiful-looking rosewood handle. And it looks like it would fit really well in the palm. Tell Everett he got a from a wood lover on our Forum.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Very nice. I have done several knife kits from woodcraft, adding the wooden handles, then making sheaths from scratch. YouTube is your friend. I wouldn't mind trying to make a knife from scratch either, but... I would need a lesson or two, and a heat source.
