Sharpening day
Took a bunch of knives of mine today and put a razor edge on them. I forget to sharpen regularly, until I can't cut something when I need to. They are all good again now....the Uncle Henrys, the Bowies, the daily user belt knife, and some misc fold out knives.

Re: Sharpening day
A touch up now and then on a ceramic rod will keep them razor sharp for a long time between actual sharpening.
Or the bottom of a ceramic coffee cup for that matter.

I just have a little fish knife handheld sharpener that you just pull the knife thru 2 or 3 times. Carbide V notch in it. Not fancy but sure puts an edge on.

Re: Sharpening day
I'm interested if you could put a name to the handheld sharpener, and maybe a web link to look at it? I'm still not real proficient with the sharpening tools I have.....thanks!

Re: Sharpening day
Get to any housewares section in a department store and get an inexpensive ceramic v notch pull through sharpener. If you have a stubborn edge, look for a carbide v notch like Ranch Roper has. Sometimes they have both in one.

I will look at it later. It was a whopping $12. But the edge is sharp.
