I was out searching for a old pellet gun like the one I had when I was a kid, and found something better when a friend of mine offered his old rifle so I looked into it and I couldnt resist buying it. My friend have had it for around 50years, its a Anschutz match model 220 pellet gun.177 caliber made in the 60s. I didnt know anything about these rifles but I realize its fine quality. Its in good working condition, there is some wear on the stock but still in good condition. It was fun that the original manual and box was kept with the rifle for all these years. It has interchangeble front sights in different sizes and formats, walnut stock, adjustable buttplate, it has something called supressed recoil system, 18.5" barrel, weight is around 10lbs, twinmetal piston rings, its suppose to have a velocity around 170m/s and I belive it still do. I was just out and tried it offhand before the rain came. The trigger is amazing, Its extremly accurate, and everything works fine. If anyone know anything about these rifles please share the information. Anyway here are some pictures, look at the last picture of the manual its a 5shot group 10meter:

Wow, nice rifle. Love the sights and the trigger. I am guessing the lever on the top right sets the spring and piston. Congratulations on a great find.
I have a semiauto 22 rifle by Anshutz but did not know they made a match pellet gun.

Oh it did. Wow! That's a side lever spring piston gun with a recoil-less system. All the top tier competition air rifles in those days had one of these systems of one type or another. Remember, this was before PCP rifles took over the competition circuit. That Annie 220 is a spectacular find. For a lot of collectors, it's one of their grail guns. The going price just for those sights could buy you a new rifle. And, hey, it's an Anschutz and that name alone on a gun doesn't come cheap.

Thanks for the information, I just bought it because I likes it and it was in Good working condition. Just wondering whats the value on the rifle/sight. Over here guns in general are not worth so much. Mostly because of the gunlaws. Airrifles have only 18years agelimit and a restriction of 10joule att 4meters from muzzle. Over that you need a license.

In US dollars, you couldn't touch those sights for under a hundred dollars and even that would be considered a steal of a buy. That gun is a 10 meter competition rifle, so power is appropriate for that shooting. It should provide outstanding accuracy with match grade wadcutter pellets at 10 meters. Not sure what you can get for pellets over there, but the RWS R10s are an excellent wadcutter pellet which we use for practice and informal competition. The expensive match pellets that come individually separated in their tins like the Finale Match and so on are way too expensive to shoot just for fun.

Great info, found those RWS 10, but they come in diffent sizes 4.48mm to 4.51mm what size should I use?

Those are the head sizes. I use the 4.51s in my competition grade guns. I'd start with those, but air rifles are just like any other kind of gun about what they like and don't like. If the 4.51s don't work for you, try the 4.48s.
