Well, it looks like a Henry. Hopefully, people don't confuse it with a long gun and call the police.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

sorry, will try to take a better picture...It's actually a pretty cool rifle for the money.
BTW...you're right...will not flash it in public.

Well, technically it IS a long gun and as long as Mark is doing nothing illegal and minding his own biz then 'people' should mind theirs and have no reason to call the police.Hopefully, people don't confuse it with a long gun and call the police.

If only people would. First, it was kind of a joke. But, I was thinking more of sitting on the deck and shooting in the backyard. I don't know if he stays in the city limits or not. And, I know it doesn't go bang! But, some people get excited by just the sight of a possible firearm. I stay in a small town with neighbors less than 100 ft away. Most mind their business. But, some are in everybody's business. And, police will drive through the subdivision, if a call of suspicion is made. That is good and bad. Yet, I am still hoping to get a few acres one day. I would like to be able to shoot on my property without any issues.

I do not expect to be able to shoot FIREarms within city limts, but..give me a break, air guns of lower power and caliber should be ok for back yard plinking
Don't get me wrong; I know there are some high caliber ones, made for hunting, but that is another story.
Just use common sense!!! Too bad too many, don't have much. If there was a charity for CS, i would probably donate. Then again...CS cannot be bought.

Yep. I shoot mine in the backyard. I also used it to teach my daughter how to shoot, in the backyard. Rodents are in the yard as well. But, some people will jump at boo, spiders, snakes, etc. Happy plinking!

Guys, over on my air gun forums are tons of examples where shooting an airgun in your backyard with neighbors close by, even when legal, has caused incidents. Right or wrong, it's just a fact life. And do check with your local laws. Don't assume that just because it's an air gun or BB gun, it won't matter. Like it or not, the majority of folks in this country are clueless about guns and wouldn't know an airgun from a 30-06 rifle.
One option I would suggest you explore is to shot indoors with the appropriate backstop. Doesn't have to be a full 10 meters. There are targets and guns appropriate for 5 yard shooting. With a pump up like this Barra, a couple of pumps would be suitable for 5 yard work.

Point well taken, especially regarding local laws when shooting outdoors. I do not have a basement, so my indoor space is very limited. I suppose I could make it happen though.North Country Gal wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 10:41 amGuys, over on my air gun forums are tons of examples where shooting an airgun in your backyard with neighbors close by, even when legal, has caused incidents. Heck I can shoot what ever I want right off the back porch.
Have a few gongs 49, 50 yds from the the porch rail.
But I am considering one of these for the oldest grandson.
