Like it or not, the majority of folks in this country are clueless about guns and wouldn't know an airgun from a 30-06 rifle.
Yep.
Yet another reason why I like living out in county away from all that.
Heck I can shoot what ever I want right off the back porch.
Have a few gongs 49, 50 yds from the the porch rail. ;)

But I am considering one of these for the oldest grandson.

Have not shot it yet Randy...but so far, I like it and I'm optimistic. Will let you know my take on it soon. Certainly is affordable and looks fairly well made.
BTW, on another note; hard to get Buffalo Trace around here, however my local spirit store said they will be getting some tomorrow. Gonna P/U a bottle. :D

Update on the Barra:
Have it sighted in fairly well at about 20 yards. For a cheapo...aint too bad. Do not intend to use BB's, but loading a pellet into the chamber is difficult based on the receiver design. Also, the trigger sucks, good amount of creep and then what feels like about 20 lbs to make it break. Do not know if that can be corrected or not on such a toy of an air rifle? If not, will just get used to it .
I guess it's a get what Ya pay for item.
No regrets though...didn't break the bank, novel and kinda fun. :)

Thanks for the update, PT. Glad you like it. As for the trigger, I expect that someone will start doing mods on it, given that air gunners do tend to be addicted to tinkering. Just keep watching via the internet.

Thanks NCG.I'm sure there will be more YouTube videos popping up. Might just start tinkering myself if not.

Thanks for the update. My Crosman 1377 pistol only shoot pellets, and it can be cumbersome as well. But as you pointed out, it is not bad for the cost. As I recall, the trigger was stiff also. I think I just oiled it, as I do with my firearms. And, it has become plausible. You might find this interesting (indoor range). It has crossed my mind. But, time will tell.

At close range 20-30 ft B-b's have great penetration on pests using a pump-up.

Thought about that Tim, but even though they make this rifle for pellets or BB', they suggest not using BB's because of the rifled barrel. Even called them today and spoke to a representative regarding the trigger. He even said, should not use many BB's. Go figure....
