Doubt that's why the sport originated , but I can definitely testify that vigorous XC skiing is a GREAT way to keep warm, even in sub-zero temps. What amazes me about those folks is how well they can shoot after all that physical exertion. Incredible athletes.

Great shooting as usual. We have had temperatures in the low teens and currently a foot of snow so no shooting for me.

I like temps in the 20s and a bit of sunshine before I get too excited about shooting, outdoors, in the winter. 30s is better, but, even then, sessions are short due to cold fingers.
