Night time airgun shooting

Post by Henry88 » Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:38 pm

This a blast. It's about 70 degrees, no clouds or winds and about 80% moon above equals > Night time air gun range report (25yds).

Yeah someone moved the log 15 ft closer, so now it's 25 yds. Basically you put a flashlight on the target (low beam or dead battery 8-) ) and then I sit on the porch with a kerosene lantern and everything else dark, so the only light is the target and my lantern. I use the illuminated reticle on ultra low (like the flashlight on the target).

So these are 4.5mm RWS Superdomes 8.3 gr out of a Walther Terrus. Artillery hold resting left hand on a book/towel. Here's the gun in daylight,

Here's what I could muster tonight at 25yds. Not the greatest, but as much fun as any other kind of shooting IMHO. :D

Started at top left and went straight through to bottom right making a few adjustments between some groups.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Nice shooting, 88. Love that you're finding new ways to shoot those air rifles.

Night shooting's not going to happen, up here. We're solidly in winter, now, so my unofficial indoor airgun shooting started just, yesterday, in fact. Oh, I'll still shoot out in the yard on a nicer winter day, but it's mostly indoors, now.
