Rainy day, maybe reload some 200 gr.

Started trimming 45/70 brass. Some needed trimming, all need chamfered, deburred. Starline new brass.

What do you use to trim your 45-70 brass? I have a Worlds Perfect Trimmer for all my bottleneck cartridges but nothing for my straight wall 45-70.

For 45-70 I use an LE Wilson case trimmer. Extremely hearty and well made.

You will also need a rifle trimmer case holder

LE Wilson is heavy duty and easy to use. I got the attachment to use an electriv drill as opposed to the crank. I sued it for all of my brass, all calibers until I bought the Lyman Brass Smith for my shoulder brass. (45-70 will not work in the Lyman)

The Wilson is well worth the money in my humble opinion.

I use a Forester. They work well also.

I use a Forster Cam-Lok trimmer. Best I've used . Easy to set up, uses Hornady shell holders. Check it out, I think you'll see what I
mean. I had ( well, still have ), a Wilson trimmer, but like the Hornady much better, works better. Also, whatever trimmer you get, you're going to need to get the RCBS "Large" chamfer/deburr tool. Standard size won't work.

UPS just dropped off 6 boxes of Nosler 41 mag bullets. Im set for a while. Maybe

good buy on those 41's .... looking forward to your range reports after you get some loaded

Tumbled some .38spl+ and .44 mag cases and loaded the mags with H110 and 240 gr xtp's. Was considering trying some FTX rounds in the .44 mag but not sure how the 265 gr bullet designed for the .444 marlin, would function. Any experience out there? The diameter seems ok at .430.

100 rounds of 200 gr 7.0 Universal are on the schedule for today.
