Yesterday evening, reload after first range test...!

Post by BruniX » Sat Nov 30, 2019 11:59 am

After a day at the booth, I had to rebuild the stock of ammunition, and these tests allowed me to verify that the reloads were correct ...

50 m ( 47.2 yards) range ,

my friend,
use a browning Maral cal. 30-06 Springfield.
it grows hard enough to be disheveled when you're next to it

jI had more trouble with my red dot, I focused mainly on reloading tests and without long sight to control at 100 and 200 m, very hard ...
About 25 clicks, 12.5 Moa, to adjust to 100m

I did not have a lot of time to do the photos, too eager to shoot for the first time with my rifle.
next time I'll do some 200m outdoor pictures

Very nice work, BruniX.

Those lined-up reloads look great. And what a cool idea using test tubes for powder drops and that the container size matches the 45-70 brass so well.

Thumbs up...You've pulled it all together!

Good luck...but I've got a question or 2///How do you get 47 yds for 50m??? It's approx 54yds...100m is approx 109yds and 200m is approx 218 or so...

Great job! .45-70 is a great one to load for. Haven't tried IMR 4198 powder yet as I have a bunch loaded with IMR 3031 and some plinking loads with 13-14 gr. Unique. The Marlin 1895 GS is a fine and handy rifle for .45-70.
