350 grain Hornady's with H4895 (45-70)

Post by Greyhawk » Fri Nov 01, 2019 5:01 pm

Well I'm gearing up for deer (rifle) season and I'm going to try Hornady FP 350 grain. So I went to the range yesterday with my Henry and these are the results: Starline brass, Federal primers, 350 grain Hornady flat point interlock (Item #4503) and 55.2 grains of H4895.
Nice stout, but not harsh, load to shoot. The first group is a 3 shot group at 100 yards and the second is a 5 shot group at 50.
I think the load is a keeper for my Henry.
Happy Fall!!!!

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Nice shooting! I haven't started reloading yet. I hope I can get near as good results when I do.

Nice, Scoped or not?
Either way, sweet, and should put meat in the freezer.
