Busy Bench Weekend!

Post by ESquared » Sat Apr 20, 2019 12:47 pm

Yesterday, the tumbler was running from about 9A to 9:30P, with 3 batches of 45 Colt and a couple of batches of 357 (thank you PT!).

This morning was further processing of the 45Colt: Resizing, Flaring, Deburring, Chamfering and Priming.

117 rounds, ready for Powder and Projectiles!

The more I load and shoot my .45 Colt, the more it is becoming my FAVORITE gun to shoot. Bar none. What a rifle!

45 colt and 357 mag. man oh man, What's not to like?
Neither of mine are Henrys but man do I like to shoot those two calibers.

I like the 41 BBS, and the 44 BBB also, but ...
Looking good E.

It wasn't really totally planned, but these were two great calibers to start with in my reloading adventure. Started with 357, which was great, with different bullets, powders, weights, all that.

The 45 Colt is somehow "easier" to work with, so I guess it's just the size of all the pieces and parts that makes it easier to work with.

You're so right, though, just two fantastic calibers.

You are now addicted to it all. Yes the bigger rounds do make it easier. Another reason I dont like messing with 9 mm. Not to mention I can buy them cheaper than loading them.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I sure agree with this. 8.5 grains with my cast 255 grain Keith style HP is a fantastic load in my H011C such a fun shooting gun.

Yep. 8.0-8.5gr Unique/250gr LRNFP seems to work well. In fact, loading more after breakfast.
