Re: RanchRoper's Reloading Ruminations
It is indeed! Yep, that's my go to .45 Colt load. Very accurate, pleasant to shoot. So easy to load. No wonder it's my favorite to load and shoot. Gads, I truly wish I had known of these type of lever guns years ago. Thinking of another .357, 16.5" barrel. However, the .45 Colt in same wouldn't be a bad call.

I've had very bad luck with Titegroup and 45 colt. A number of squib loads... Better to stick with Universal, sounds like it's working good for you.RanchRoper wrote:Anybody use Titegroup powder? I see it in the local store. Says 45 Colt on bottle. Results?

Just tumbled another 300 cases. Was in Calgary today at Bass Pro. Picked up more Universal powder and a nice sifter for separating media and brass.

Yep RR, you're hooked. I strayed a wee bit from my norm. I loaded up 20 rounds .45 Colt with Missouri 250gr LRNFP bullet, but, 7.5gr Alliant BE-86 powder. It works well in my Henry .357, sooo, gave it a try. Will test soon. BTW RR, don't forget to feed Badger!

He's too fat anyway, losing a few pounds won't hurt him.

Loaded 100 rounds of 200 gr and 50 rounds of 250 gr LRNFP. Might have to shoot some now, no room left in cabinet....it was bound to happen.
