Reloading Time

I am quite looking forward to getting all this stuff and setting up. Not something I would have thought a year ago but it has bothered me to have a huge bucket of brass sitting there going to waste.
I will shoot again this weekend and there's another 50 brass casings. Time to put them to good use. And over time maybe save some money.

Really, it is about doing what you do as well as you can. There are many aspects of loading that bring satisfaction. Using all resources available just adds to your total experience.

Couple more days until I pick up my gear. The brass tumbler should be here by weekend too. The only thing that won't show up for another week or so is the dies. That's ok, I have tons of brass to clean. I can also set up everything else.

You'll get a lot of satisfaction just out of the tumbling process, because the before & after is pretty impressive! I'm pretty sure that wet and dry method is the same when it comes to "if 2 hours is good, 3 hours is better." Wet-tumbled today some 357 casings for 3 hours and man, those things came out shiny!

Very much looking forward to hearing you share it all. It's great fun and just a wonderful way to extend the hobby.

Unfortunately this in NOT the case - liquid tumbling is vastly superior on all fronts - time wise, quality of end result, cleanliness and you can do it inside!
I wish I would have made the switch long before the five years ago as it was.
I'll never miss the dusty, vibratory tumbler, ever!

We all have our methods. I dry tumble using walnut media and a couple of squirts of "Turtle Wax" spray. This keeps down dust and in an hour or so, shiny as heck. No drying, done. But, we all have preferred methods. All good.

Dry and dusty for me I guess. I have a shed to do it in. Turn it on and come back later.

Wax is a good idea.

Did you get corn cob or Walnut shells RR.? Yes I use a liquid wax with no ammonia in it. Ive never had dust issues. I also use a lid on the tumbler. I also have one of those brass tumblers that separates the cob from the brass.. Ive used both methods and like both although the liquid with pins is faster I have no issues with the cob and tumblers. Works good enuf for me.

we use walnut media as well .... dusty, yep .... no problem, set the tumbler outside and let it run .... our original RCBS tumbler has been in use since the mid '60's, looks used because it has been really well used ....still going strong
