How big a cast bullet in 44 big boy steel

I've been shooting 240 grain jacketed bullets through the rifle. Henry usually says nothing bigger than a 260 grain. I'm casting now and wanting some 300 grain bullets to run in my Ruger Blackhawk. Am wondering if my rifle will shoot the 300 grain or if anyone has one on here has tried them. Only problem I see is short throat on the Henry. Or so I read.

240's are what they design for but one can most certainly try other options ..... I load Nosler bullets .... I've fired a couple of hundred of their 200's and couldn't tell any advantage in doing so .... I've fired some what more of their 300's ... biggest thing I could tell is more recoil and past 50 yards more arc in trajectory

I hadn't bought a mold yet and knew handgun would be 50 yards at best for me. I want sure about 300 in the rifle. I'm having good luck with jacketed in it now. Don't want to mess up a good thing.
