I've hunted in subfreezing temps but nothing on the level with what you have in your area ..... since the mid '60's our go-to powder in our 44 Mag's has been W296 .... if/when we can't get it, we use H110 .... in most cases the load data for both is pretty much identical .... per our chrony, both provide equal muzzle velocity .... so far, the temperature at which we hunt/shoot hasn't ever been a performance related factor .... well, cold temps always have and still are a factor for me .. .. but not for our ammo

Clays and Universal Clays are different. Clays is more for cowboy action. HS6 or 2400 will give you good mid range results.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I've got some h110 but haven't tried it yet. I've used Unique and hs6. unique has give best groups so far but lowest velocity. I'm just shooting lead laser cast and Rimrock lead bullets so far. I ran some 250 xtps through it last week but I was leaded up some. Groups in everything started moving around. Got the lead out and am waiting on Henry to send me a new extractor I lost cleaning it.
