Holy moley, did you win the lottery?! 3500 rounds of factory .45colt is $$$... I’ve only bought 1 box of factory ever, can reload std loads for less than $0.20 each.

Only bad thing I’ve found from long term ammo storage is some .22 wildcats and thunderbolts from mid 80s got corroded enough that they didn’t want to go into cylinder... but the ones I made it to muscle into the gun all went bang. Once I noticed the problem I’ve only bought plated .22 ammo, and plan to shoot the bare lead stuff first.

I hear ya. Reloading is in my future after I retire. Right now just don't have the time or place to set up.

I have some cordite powered 303 British ammo from the teens and twenties. They tend to have a lot of hang-fires.

When I was shooting high power matches in the Corps and stationed in Hawaii in the early 80s, we got match grade ammo delivered for our National Match Garands. Two banded pallets came over to the base from the ammo stores at Pearl Harbor. An Admiral paying me back for a favor. The ends of each box were clearly marked National Match, and dated 1944. We locked the ammo in foot lockers before storing it in the base armory... it was extremely accurate. 8-)
