Re: .327 Federal Magnum Rifle Loads
I've had the best luck with Federal small magnum primers, Federal brass, and Accurate #9. I do have Starline brass as well but it seems to not be able to take the pressures very well. The Federal brass is from factory loads that I cycled through.

Re: .327 Federal Magnum Rifle Loads
When I started loading up some .327's for my revolvers, I noted that some recommended loads corresponded with .38 special loads -- Unique powder, for example. I wondered about the case volume offset vs. the pressure difference. The .327's using that formula with 115 gr. bullets were pretty mild and seemed to be accurate. Has anybody else made that connection, or seen that discussed?

Re: .327 Federal Magnum Rifle Loads
There is a "Unique" load for just about every cartridge made. It's a fairly fast powder and has very little fill to it. It usually shoots pretty good in most any pistol cartridge. Don't sweat the large empty case volume. It's a non issue with Unique. Don't use filler with smokeless powder.

Any load data discussed by me is for entertainment purposes only. I can not condone or be responsible for it's use by others.
Re: .327 Federal Magnum Rifle Loads
My SP101 4.2" likes 6.2 grains Unique with 85 Grain XTP. Group was well within an inch at 25 yards.

Shot the 85 grain XTPs with 6.2 grains Unique out of the carbine today at 50 yards. Group was ~2.5 wide and 1.25 high. I suppose will do in a pinch.
Still trying to find acceptable load for 100 grain XTPs.

I should have my rifle back on Wednesday, then it's off to the range this weekend. I hope they were able to pinpoint the issue I was having with accuracy.....we will see.

Re: .327 Federal Magnum Rifle Loads
I'm going to try some True Blue on my next batch of reloads. The Lyman book says it's the most accurate for the 100 gr XTP load. The velocity and pressure are a bit lower than Accurate #9. I'll let you know how it turns out. I've got plenty of bullets loaded at this time. I started off with Power Pistol but found Accurate #9. I'd like to experiment with some Lil' Gun at some point unless someone's already tried it and it doesn't work.

I went all in with True Blue for the .327 and have had acceptable results.

Re: .327 Federal Magnum Rifle Loads
I have found projectiles available that are 130grs, but I can't find any data to support such a heavy pill.
Would anyone care to share any data?
I've also seen pills as heavy as 150 grains, but again no data.
The heaviest pill I can find data for is 115gr.

Heaviest bullet weight I have found data for is 125gr cast. Accurate 5574 12.4 grains. Gas check recommended.
