Loading 357 for plinking...hammering or stopping...
Loading up what I have shot over last year in 357. The Stoppers are 158 gr. XTP with 14 gr. of 2400 and Hammers which would be a pass thru stopper are the 180 Pugs with 11.6 of 2400 and of course my favorite all day plinker the 158 RNFP with 6.0 Power Pistol.

Those 180gr pills make steel swing. When I shoot them outa the single shot they are thumpers for sure. Try some RMR 147 grain smiley bullets they shoot wonderful

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

The 158 RNFP is my favorite plinker also. Loaded over 5.4 gr of PP it works well in both of my Henry single shots, the X-Model, H012 carbine and a mess of revolvers. The same bullet over a little stiffer charge of HS6 and a magnum primer is the go-to plinker in a couple of guns that occasionally pierce standard primers. Yep I am almost out of the 158 MB bullets....order time again!
