Cowboy Choice ammo.........
Came across their site doing a search for 38 Long Colt and found they sell a great selection of the Cowboy calibers plus reloading components.
Saw they have a cool large carry bag with the Old West look that you get if you order 250 rounds. I ask about buying just the bag and they replied no not the bags themselves. So I looked at there cast bullets and found they sell Chey cast bullets and their 158 RNFP for 38-357 looked exactly like the one from Missouri Bullets and with same Hi-Tek coating. I ask if they would send me one of those bags with a sample order of their bullets and he said yes we could do that to entice more business from you.
Got the package in the mail this morning and the 158 gr. .358 bullets look great but hope I don't encounter more than 2 bad guys while out on the trail!
My 500 order from MB should be here tomorrow and the Starline 38 Colt brass supposed to be here on Saturday I hope.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I see a lube groove in that bullet.
Do you lube those or load them as-is?

With the Hi-tek powder coating there is no need to lube.
It's pretty much all I'll buy anymore, and when I cast my own I powder coat those as well.
I genuinely hate lubing cast bullets.

Re: Cowboy Choice ammo.........
Interesting find...I measured the O.D. of the Chey bullets and they were running .359 and of course won't slide or easily push thru the cylinder throats of my 357/38 revolvers. The MB are right at .358 and slide thru with a very light touch...perfect.
Got all my brass and the MB bullets delivered this morning and now loading up some 38 Long Colt to 38 Special load data. Will start with 5.0 of Power Pistol.

Re: Cowboy Choice ammo.........
100 rounds loaded and 30 fit in the small "Cowboy" bag. Had a plastic ammo box laying around so gave it a little vintage look.
Went with the proven MB bullets because of the .158 size and the load is 5.2 gr. of Power Pistol. Power Pistol has given me some really good results in 38 Special and low end 357 Mag target loads. Hope to get out middle next week for some shooting fun!
