Mine's just the average 6.5" model, it shoots well enough.
Took a nice doe several years ago at about 25 yds. or so.
Here not that good of a pic but, they're both in it.

My Blackhawk is just the plain 6.5" too... when I went to the gun shop that day the plan was to order a Blackhawk Hunter in 44 Mag.

But the 41 was in the consignment display...I asked about it and was put on the phone with the owner... he had it tuned up by a reputable smith, then never really done anything with it...1998 production and hadn't had 50 rounds fired through it.

Very sweet trigger, the cylinder holes are all trued up, I just wish he had installed a free spin pawl but I can live without it.

It shoots better than I can...its got a Hogue monogrip on it now, which is ugly as sin but it does fit my hands nicely.

Seems one can only find Underwood online. Any time I have ever asked for it at LGS's, they immediately shake their heads...no

Mark I can't say that I'd ever heard of them before RR mentioned them the other day.
Had some good accuracy with some 250 gr Cor-bon ammo.
Hoping for some similar results.
I have a 270 gr mold that I want to work up.
Knowing how well those 250's did, and if I get some similar results with these then I should be able to play around long enough with my cast and find a good load.

I just want some of their factory loads. I don't reload, but I have heard good things about their ammo. High price for one...oh well.
Would try it out anyway. ;)

Underwood is very good stuff... some guns won't like certain loads, as usual... but that ammo is very consistent, and always loaded to the speed printed on the box.

Their velocity numbers are tested in actual guns.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
