I have had a DVT in my right leg for a few months now. Dr has ordered a compression stocking.
Has anyone else experienced this? Gonna get it tomorrow. Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this procedure and results?

I'm surprised you haven't had to use them until now. My wife had to wear them; she had a clot develop in her calf that moved through her heart and into her lungs while taking chemo. It was a very scary time in the midst of a bigger scary time.

The kind that zipper up were much easier to get on than those that are traditional looking socks. She also preferred open toed socks instead of closed toed. They also come in a range of pressures. I'm sure your Dr. prescribed the proper compression for you.

Good luck, Mark.

Thank you very much for the info Stan. Sorry to have brought up a painful memory.
Yes, mine is in my right calf and the Dr did write a prescription for the recommended pressure.
Have been on Xerelto, ( blood thinner ) for a while now. Ultrasounds have shown some improvement, but not enough.
To make matters worse; I am needing back surgery for a ruptured L-5, but, they don't want to do that while on the blood thinner.
Kinda stuck in medical limbo.

Mark, I wore those things years ago. Dr, thought I had circulations problems. After he sent me to a different Dr., turned out it was
Peripheral Neuropathy in both legs. Still do, no cure, gradually gets worse. Chasing it with Lyrica right now. On max. dose.
Have no idea where I'll go when that's no longer effective. Tough getting old, tougher to not...so they say.
