The Dead South

Post by GunnyGene » Fri Mar 20, 2020 11:14 am

Who's heard of this group? I like their music, but don't expect everyone to. Here's their playlist albums, and one of their more popular singles. Hope y'all enjoy this. :)

Never heard of them either, but definitely like what I listened to so far.

There is so much good music out there, that you just never get exposed to unless you see someone mention it like this. I knew exactly nothing about Chris Stapleton until I saw him open for Joe Walsh. He absolutely floored me with his live show! Joe was outstanding too, as I expected. That was a bucket list performance. Having Don Henley, Ringo Starr and James Taylor on the bill as well was a bonus.

Well, I did a deep dive and watched most of their videos on YouTube. I gotta say, I like ‘em!

I listened to some with the wife as well, and we enjoyed them. My ONLY complaint is that the lyrics were hard to pick up in some songs. I do like their style and sound though.

I like a variety of music, much of it from artists most folks have never heard of. Takes my mind off the mundane daily hassles.

A change of pace here, Jamey Johnson live at the House of Blues (Boston). A tiny bit of adult language up front, but hang in there. Some really great guitar pickin'. :)

Can't give it away:

And another by Beverly "Guitar" Watkins
