Glad surgery went well! I'm sorry to hear about your fever. I hope this is the only hiccup in your healing.

I was surprised how quickly the pain went away after mine. Just do what they say and hang tough.

It seems the fever was due to stress and not something worse. They are keeping me in hospital one more day to get more antibiotics in me just in case. The pain has been tolerable. Foley catheter is a bother..

Glad to hear that it wasn't likely an infection. You really don't need to deal with that on top of the surgery recover.

I can identify. I was staring down the barrel of prostate cancer about a year an a half ago. I finally ended up with good news, but was expecting the knife. It's not what anyone wants, but they really are so much better at dealing with it these days. For most it is just a bump in the road. Long term outcomes for early stage prostate cancer is incredibly good these days.

Get well soon.

You bet. For me that was the worst pain of all. I finally talked the nurse into taking it out.
Male nurse that is.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. It is truly amazing what todays medicine can do! Had quad bypass 3 years ago and 2 cancer surgerys last year. Currently cancer free and hopeful. Stay positive.

TMB, keep the positive prayer vibe going. Last summer I underwent surgeries, chemo + radiation, feeding tube...eessh it's all a humbling memory now.
I built as big of prayer circle as I could think of, this may sound silly, but I could feel it working during those days I felt like crap physically and emotionally.
It all worked as I'm cancer free at the moment. Best of luck and consider another prayer coming your way.
