Christmas 2019 just moved into reality .... with heavy rain moving in this evening we are busily packing the camper to move it later this afternoon to where we will spend Christmas .... Gilligan set out on a 3 hr tour .... we are preparing for our annual 3 mile tow to one of our son's home .. .. it is up to 44 outside, 44 with an icy feel in the air .... once we get the camper unhooked, leveled, and on 50 amp current we will leave it and our truck there and travel back and forth in another vehicle

Ho Ho Ho!
Had a lovely night with my granddaughters. They are back at home now, awaiting Santa's arrival.
My youngest granddaughter of 4 years old melted my heart tonite. We were goofing around, and then, out of nowhere, straight faced, looked me in the eyes and lunged; throwing here arms around my neck, and said, " I love you Grandpa"
Will never forget that moment!
Let none of us forget, the reason for the season either. Blessings to all.

its hard to believe that another Christmas has come and gone ....do hope it was a good one for all of our folks .... now, on to New Years .... we ain't much when it comes to being party people .... no plans to go anywhere to celebrate the New Year, pretty much to see it in at home .... I'll most likely be up at midnight, that's pretty much the norm for me

Where the heck did 2019 go?...2020? Really???? When I was a kid 2020 would have been like the Jetson's to me.

Excellent question, RR! And a 8-) and perfect perspective on time.....the Jetsons.

Man, if a person takes the time to think about time, time is a never-ending topic. So much has been said and written about it. And much chit-chat always pops up when we are at the time of ending one year and starting a new year.

I like the author, journalist, and free-lance writer Kristin Wong, who also appears on a number of interesting news/interview programs. She is also a contributing writer to "Lifehacker.com | Do everything better." Here is an article she wrote about time in 2015, which you might find to be a good read ---- take the time to go through it  and enjoy! https://lifehacker.com/why-time-feels-l ... 1745852093

Happy New Year.

You sound like us. We will stay home and watch it all on TV. I usually make my Oyster He Soup on New Years Eve. That's one of a very few menu items my Wife allows to cook in her kitchen. It's really more of a chowder and really good.

My wife and I usually polish off a shrimp ring with some cheese and crackers on New Year's Eve. Then watch the Rose parade next morning.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
