One of the great classics and one of my favorites, too.

agree completely with the Jimmy Stewart version being the best .... the latest remake staring Tom Tryon doesn't come close

Yep mine as well!
A few interesting 'tidbits' about the movie:

Considered by many to be the 'Transition' to a new style of westerns with deeper, more 'human' interaction, romance and a specific end goal of the plot. Essentially the beginning of the 'modern' western.

One of the first movies that established the now common character 'three way' where there is a defined swashbuckling, strong 'hero' figure, a beautiful woman and the reliable sidekick.

The first movie where an actor agreed to a % of the box office as opposed to a flat salary (Stewart's idea)

Herb Parsons (The Showman Shooter) performed the shots at the coins thrown into the air and the final shot with the stamp placed on the washer.

Look for James Best, Rock Hudson and Tony Curtis in early roles.

^ Caught the last 35 minutes of it. I THOUGHT that was Tony Curtis but I didn't think he was actually in the movie.

A friend of mine called me to come look at some wind damage he had from a recent storm.
We walked in the house for a min., and the movie was just coming on.
Of course I didn't watch, but it was on a while back and did catch the end.

Didn't know all that other stuff Ed, Thanks.
