Best Talk Show

I have seen... I watch in clips on you tube.

Graham Norton

He is a BBC talk show host, and doesn't try and make the segments about himself. It's an amazingly relaxed set. He asks a question and lets the guest run with it, and if another guest has input, Norton encourages the interplay rather than trying to return focus and the spotlight back to himself. More than once I have heard his guests say they have never had more fun on a talk show.

Being BBC, the rules are different, so I'm not adding a link... The language might get me paddled by the mods...

The best segment I've seen so far had Will Smith, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Toby Jones (Who most know, you just don't know it.)

I get caught in a loop when I watch. The clips with Bill Murray, Tom Hanks, and especially Matt Damon are great.

When does it air. Sounds worthy of a look. Hope they don't get political.

I don't know when it airs, I only watch the clips or the full shows on you tube.
Like all comedians, they DO make political jokes from time to time, but most are aimed at the Brit government, and get heavy laughs from the studio audience, but half the time I have no clue.

The US guests may make a political crack now and then, but mostly they are there to promote their latest projects, and share amusing anecdotal stories.

Thanks Jim, will look for it on you tube.
Some political jokes are ok. Don't mind unless they are totally bias. If my TV is on late and I hear Jimmy Kimmel coming on, I can't get to the remote fast enough to change the channel.

I don't watch any of them anymore... They are so biased they are no longer funny, and some are downright rude or abusive/arrogant with some of their guests. If I was invited on, to represent a veteran's point of view or promote this or that cause, I would pass. I would tell them I'm married, I can get abused at home. :D

I did like that Scottish one...

Craig Ferguson, from Drew Carey...
He was funny, seemed to enjoy teasing his guests in good fun, but was never mean about it.
Made fun of everyone equally, including himself. :D

Typically I do not either except for one - Last man standing.
Funny but each episode normally has some serious points with good, solid, 'realistic' interaction between the family members, friends and co-workers with common issues we all have and can relate to.

With regard to talk shows Johnny Carson was a hard act to follow! I was just a young teen when I started watching but remember it well!
