Aren't we a bit old for this? I might ruffle some feathers here. Used to be a huge NASCAR fan. Would not miss a race on Sundays back when Rusty Wallace was driving. It WAS fun!. Even did the Petty experience myself, as a Christmas gift from the wife.
Anymore, I don't give a rats a$$ who the driver, pit crew or owner is. I care about my family and grandchildren.
NASCAR has faded. I would much rather spend my time shooting and teaching the youth about said activities...sorry

Same way Mark, used to be dedicated fan, hardly ever missed a race.
Been to quite a few races, now not so much, can usually find/have better things to do.
Last night I watched and plated on the laptop, and actually like watching a race with no D@** stages.
As to Sunday I'll most likely be outside doing something. ;)

Well, they still aren't kneeling during the anthem, or getting arrested for drugs, or beating their wives, and they still risk life and limb, so I'll be watching Sunday. You can count on it.
I'll go with the 18 but there sure are some up and comers he'll have to worry about.

If I'm around, I still watch the anthem and the fly bys. Has always sent a chill of pride down my spine. After that....I'll go on about my business.

Agree. There is nothing like Nascar for a professional sport. Patriotic, Military dedication and Christian prayer.

I know the old days are gone, but it's all we got. I will admit, I don't enjoy it like I used to either, but I'm still a fan and if it's on TV, I'm watching it. Even when it ain't, most of the time I will follow it on the computer. I'll watch Battle Cam, Live Updates, Lap by Lap and have MRN Radio on in the background.

The one thing I did give up is the NBA. I was a big fan from the Larry Bird and then the Michael Jordan days, up till just a few years ago. They really wore me down to the point of giving up. Just can't stand it anymore.

The 18 is not the best qualifier. Except for pit box location, I don't believe he worries about it a whole lot.

Starting positions at Daytona & Talladega aren't that important, for the most part.

I'm in Cocoa Beach right now. Gonna miss the race tomorrow because I'm getting on a ship and sailing south on Sunday.
