it would appear that somebody has given Bubba some good advice .... if he had of responded this way earlier, I believe things would have blown over quickly

Local stock car racing made what NASCAR became, not what it is now. Maybe it'll go full cycle & go back to its roots.
As long as the sponsors put up with it, it won't change. Sponsors spend their money for positive exposure. No sponsors, no NASCAR. Right now, I think they're pushing their luck. JMHO
Agreed Larry.
Back when I was a TRUE fan, it was the fastest growing sport.
I think now, it will be the fastest dying sport.....shame.
Given its original fan base and culture, current events are a perfect recipe for quick failure!

Bubba Wallace Changes Course In New Sta ... t Few Days
The link would not open for me, but has reminded me of something. It would be appreciated if the source of where the link is from would also be provided. Myself and some others out there don't even want to click on anything Nascar. I don't even want to give them credit of a hit on any of their sites. As of the other day, I have been going to alternative sites for anything I may want to check on concerning drivers, results, etc.

This is also a time where I almost "wish" I had Nascar on paid TV. To give me the pleasure of canceling it.

I wasn't buying anything related to NASCAR anyway, so they're not going to miss it. Us antenna folks don't contribute any either.
It'll be up to the other side of the airwaves to do their part. No doubt some will. Will it be enough? Lack of exposure will get the sponsor's attention, if not NASCAR. It'll take a while to have an effect. Empty seats, a big help. Just sit back & watch the show.

NASCAR lost me years ago when they made all the cars the same. Racing isn’t racing if someone isn’t try to cheat the rules. Like when they limited the size of the fuel tank. Someone put in a 1 inch line and took the long route instead of 1/4 inch and the shortest path. That got them an extra two gallons of gas. Now that is racing.

Now that's thinking! I remember in Dale Earrnhart's(#3) early days, if he was having car problems, he'd tear off padding from the roll cage and throw it on the track and say "debris on the track!". Caution. Those characters!

That's one thing about Nascar. It's gone flukey on us, but we still got the history of the great old days. We got a whole bunch of races as well. Every once in a while I'll watch an old race on Youtube. There are a bunch of them on there as well as clips, stories, documentaries, etc from the 1950's and up.

Here's a clip on Smokey himself:

I loved the old days when the cu.in. & HP were on the hood. The cars actually looked like the one in the showroom. Win on Sun., sell on Mon. Yessir! Hard to beat., IMHO.
Yeah, I know I'm old, LOL. I can't remember what I went into that room for, but I can still remember the racing.
