Getting old is tough............
I understand what you're going through. I had all those tests prior to my surgery as well.
Medicine these days is a far cry from ten years ago. Much easier. Just hang in there
and soon it will be over and it won't be long when you forget about it.

When I had my right hip replaced two years ago, I asked the surgeon how he knew where to cut the femur. He smiled and jokingly said, "measure twice, cut once." Then he explained the procedure in more detail. He did a great job. Yours will, too.

Thanks for the update Evan! Have been wondering if a date was set yet. Think about you often. We do miss having you here, but, totally understand.
As you said, time flies and this will be behind you before you know it.
I am scheduled for another ultrasound Feb. 26 to see what's going on with the DVT in my right leg. Need to get off the blood thinner so I can schedule my back surgery. I'm still in medical limbo.
BTW...we did the electric to gas conversion a few years ago...not cheap, depending on how much pipe is needed, and the path it needs to follow. Good luck to you on all counts!! Hope to talk in the near future.

Good to see you back in here. Hope all goes well until the surgery. Makers 46 will help with that hip pain in a temporary need of some pain relief.

As always, thanks for your words of support and encouragement. Doesn't seem that long ago that I was counting down the months for this occasion, and now it's a matter of weeks. Will keep you posted but promise not to turn this into the E-Squared Blog!

Hey ES, Ive been of line for working for the past month. Good to see your update and surgery date. Don't worry about the date, my wife's was on Friday the 13th and she is doing great !

Dislocations are uncommon these days because of the variety of prosthetic s. My wife's original replacement last May dislocated in August. Reason was her pelvis had this weird rotation forward that put the prosthetic at the extreme angle. No one could have known. Second surgery in September with a different device to accommodate for the pelvis rotation, and she is doing great. No pain, no loss of range.

It's all good my friend and you will be glad you hung in and did it ! Looking forward to a picture of you kicking up your heals.
