Yep, a Kuerig is what I use these days. I used to grind my own but this is just as good.
Thing is we go to a local supper club and their coffee is the best I have ever tasted,
but they will not disclose what it is.

I must have a vastly different experience than you. My favorite coffee out is McDonald's. I find it all to be as consistent as it can be. Any place I go, it always tastes the same. The only time it tastes bad is when it has been on the coffee warmer too long. All the McDonald's I have seen use Bunn Coffee makers. I have only had a few bad cups of coffee over the years. I drink it black. McDonald's strives for consistency across the board. I prefer their coffee to Dunkin Donuts, Burger King and Star Bucks.
At home I prefer to grind my own beans and percolate my coffee. I rarely have the time to do all that. When I do, it is well worth it.
We don't have free refill cups of McDonald's coffee around here as far as I know.

If I'm out and 'need' a cup of coffee. I'll stop at a Dutch Brothers kiosk. If it's Tuesday, it's a double punch on a usage card. "Twos-day Tuesday". After 10 punches, the 11th is free. Americano with 1/2&1/2.
As far as Dunkin Donuts; k-cup at home is way better than coffee in their donut shops.
I don't like Star Bucks. Over roasted and burnt - yuck. Reminds me, I was once in Taiwan. They have Star Bucks their and the Taiwanese are crazy for it. I was the first American in their experience who didn't like Star Bucks coffee. I was a rare novelty/celebrity to them while I was there

I did the french press for a while. I liked the flavor, but my cholesterol shot up, so I switched back to paper filters.
