This is interesting. Just wait until Black Friday, this year will break all types of records. I’m hoping for huge sales on HENRY RIFLES!

My last purchase was an "other". Finally got a Mossberg Shockwave, probably not very practicable but thought they were kind of cool. I don't see myself buying anymore firearms, hardly shoot the ones I have enough...............................But hmm, I have always wanted a 1911 in .45cal.

or keltek rifle
If you are referring to a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 study the rifle and choose wisely.
At a minimum stay away from the gen 1 version.
While good shooters and very accurate they are very cheaply built with a few known problems.
First is with the barrel - it is epoxied in with no other support. There is a 'fix' for this one can accomplish which is to drill and install a pin to secure it.
The parts on it are very lightly made to reduce weight and breakage is certain if one is not careful. Some of the screws are plastic and stripping is a possibility if one is not very careful removing and reinstalling them. Disassembly for cleaning is very difficult and actually not recommended by Kel-Tec. Also they are considered 'limited use' guns and at one time Kel-Tec even stated this and gave the S2K a 10K round lifespan

I know all this as I owned a Gen 1 at one time and sold it shortly after a one time disassembly.

Take a look at a Ruger PCC.
As a 'conventional' rifle It's obviously considerably different from the S2K but is very well built, easy to disassemble and is a 'break down' design.
The bolt handle is ambedextrious and the dual magazine design could be an advantage - especially if one has a Ruger or Glock semi-auto pistol. Even then if not Glock mags can found pretty easily and cheap.

Big 1911 fan here. Clovispup and I spend a lot of quality time at the range with the Springfield Range Officer.

Most folks I talk to that are thinking about buying a gun for the first time, are interested in handguns. Lots of folks that rent guns at the range are renting ARs.

I've never even had a chance to fire one other than an old beat up one that was missing it's rear sight. I have dry fired a few nice ones at local gun stores and really liked the trigger.

Lots of good things said about the RIA line of pistols - and I am planning on one eventually in 9mm but it will be the 'Rock' version with all the goodies including adjustable sights.

I've looked them over at my LGS and great fit, smooth with a good trigger. The finish is obviously where they cut corners but it is not bad for a basic parkerizing. I don't think a better gun can be had in it's price range and they are better than they SHOULD be for the price!

I am leaning towards the 9mm with a ruger or keltek rifle
The Ruger PC carbine in 9mm is really fun to shoot and if you order ammo online its not that bad. I have one and really like it. As far as the rest of it I have bought mostly handguns lately.
How about a lever action AR? :D
