Has been a very warm and dry last couple of months with no rain and when I was down at my range property today
I noticed my nice little creek was now just a dry trail bed through the woods! It is feed from a swampy area just a bit up the road and
first time I have seen it dried up in the 3 yrs I have owned the place.
The turkeys, deer and even a couple of wood ducks used to like to hang out there and I miss seeing them.

Oh well maybe a wet winter ahead?

According to the Farmer's Almanac, we are supposed to get a brutal winter with record snow. We shall see.

earlier today we arrived at Thousand Trails RV Resort, located near Gloucester .... some of the trees have leaves that are turning color and from their looks it may be caused by a lack of rain .... they say there is a chance for some rain here on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings

Would be glad to send you some of our rain if we could. We've had cold rain every day this week. Today was the first day it didn't rain, but more coming along later in the week along with, yup, snow showers.

Hope you get some. Don't like it too dry.
We have 6F and snow mid week coming up.

Last year we had record setting rain fall and I thought things would never dry out.

We have a small seasonal creek that runs around our property. Even in the driest times there are usually some deep pools holding water. Almost all of those are dry now. ;) We are still getting plenty of forest traffic as the woods are deep and dark. A good long hard rain will fill the pools back up.
