This may not be a popular post. As a participant in way to many memorial rides I learned to stay way from them as they are inherently dangerous. When you get that many bikes together with riders of various skill levels and who you are not familiar with, you are just asking for trouble. I have seen it. Not only other bikers but car traffic as people get impatient waiting for the bikes to pass (3000) and try to dart in between gaps. I would rather go out on the open road with a couple of buddies, find one of my "spots",
light up some cigars, contemplate how precious life is and just wish those people gods speed. That to me is more of a tribute than a mass parade.
