Robocall Solution

Post by Bad Bob » Wed Jun 12, 2019 6:54 pm

Being an old codger, I may be late to the game, but if you use AT&T, there is a way to stop robocalls (calls from unidentified parties).
Simply dial *77#.
To undo dial *87#.
It works!
You can also put your phone on "Do Not Disturb".
*78# (Caller gets a busy signal)
You will thank me with the upcoming election season approaching.

Thanks Bob. I personally don't have AT&T, however know someone who does. Just wondering if anyone else out there has tried this? Just thinking it might block something important...dunno.

We have IPhones and Verison. It the IPhone you tap the (i) by the phone number and then you have to scroll down to see the block this number function.

Android phone has a block number feature. Can block number as its ringing or later from the call log. For home phone bought a phone (Panasonic) that has call number blocking.

My previous landline phone would only block 100 numbers and I filled that up in 5 months. I turned 65 and every insurance company in the nation was calling me.
New phone will block 200 numbers, sometimes I enter 3 or 4 a day.
