Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
The real you
Re: The real you
I was with the 25th ID, 3rd Bde 1/35th Inf. based in Pleiku, '67. Wasn't there much, the CO liked to stay out in the boonies, LOL.
Wounded 4/25/67, at Duc Pho, in the southern part of Quang Nhai province. Probably didn't spell that right either, LOL

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Going back in time, to early 1967, Pleikeu. Me with my new M16 w/ M 203 grenade launcher attached underneath. Heck of a combo.
Wish I still had it, LOL.

Re: The real you
Okay, here is a very recent one, just last week.
As for rotorheads, my 13 plus years was spent in and around helos. Loved them. I only left the Corps because I blew my knee out again. I worked on CH46s, CH53s, Hueys, and Cobras. I flew in the 46s, 53s, and Hueys. I wanted to stay in and log 30 plus years in Marine Corps green.

Re: The real you
To be honest, that end of June pic was just before the heat wave... and the dental asssitant ripping the side of my mouth with the vacuum thingee. She was a bit rough, but I never really felt it. Her heavy hand caused a split in the corner of my mouth and a really nasty fever blister. I shaved the beard, so I could treat that, and cut down the sweating. But kept the mustache.
