No matter the reason, it is awfully cool to see something like that. And that a barrel will stay together under that pressure is impressive. Seems like a quality company, even though there was some sort of problem.

IMO the barrel was manually stuffed with bullets. Only the first appears to be a legit squib because of the spent power residue/gap behind it. It's too clean between the rest of the bullets. Did the owner punk Hi-point? I'm surprised Hi-point didn't figure that out. I'm also surprised Hi-point took the time to go to the effort of cross-sectioning a warranty return barrel.
