I made it past midnight (pretty rare for me, but I'll take it!), heard fireworks for about 10 minutes, then lights out!

Happy 2019!

My first post of the new year. I made it till midnight as she could not sleep. We were watching a very bad movie, the kind you can't leave. I saw the ball drop and then went to bed. I haven't stayed up that late in a long time. As usual, I was up at 0530.

Happy New Year

I am usually up past midnight since i can't sleep more than six or seven hours. If i go to bed early I am up really early... REALLY early. If the boss goes to bed early, I turn the TV off and put my ear phones in and watch youtube, read, hang out with you guys, tie flies... Whatever. I pass the time till I'm tired.

No fireworks last night, but didn't expect any, unless the deer, bear, or coyotes had a party.

Have a neighbor that loves to celebrate by shooting his guns and, yup, right at midnight, we could hear him celebrating. :)

Happy New Year, everyone.

.
That went on until about 2am here. Both guns and explosives. I suspect that one of the young adults a few properties away may have been setting off some tannerite, by the tone of the sonic boom.

I lasted til after mid-night, first time in 4 years.
I can remember because it was the new year after the first grandson was born.
Wife had gone to SC for the birth and one of the neighbors had a party that year.
That grandson just turned 4 on the 28th.

It was so quiet around here that I fell asleep in my chair from 11:30 till 12:20. I woke up and my Wife was laughing at me. I went to bed and slept in for the first time in months.
