I spent part of my day leading a tour at the Carolina Tiger Rescue. Nothing usual about that as I do that about twice a month. Usually when on tour your not guaranteed to seem all the critters we have depending on how they feel. However, that day was very unusual as just about every animal that was on tour (some are not) was about. The two lions came out and poised like they never do. Beau, the cougar, was out and not hiding. The servals were out. The star of the sanctuary, our white tiger Saber, put on a show acting like a big kitty. I thought that they most know it is my birthday and they are thanking me for being a volunteer. Then I realized it was feeding day for most of them and they were waiting for us to feed them. I was crushed.
