Peter Dinklage

Post by BrokenolMarine » Tue Jun 26, 2018 11:09 am

Miss T and I don't have HBO and have never seen Game of Thrones so we weren't really familiar with this guy... then she picked a movie on Prime to watch... he was the male lead. It was called "Rememory." Good flick with lots of plot twists and turns. Real kick in the pants at the end.

For a short guy, vertically challenged, he certainly is long on talent. I was impressed. Then I realized, after looking him up on IMBD where we had recently heard the name.

Last week, we had watched a comedy special ... stand up...sorta... of another vertically challenged person: Brad Williams. He had a segment early in his routine where he said, "Let me start by telling you guys I'm NOT Peter Dinklage, or WeeMan... Awwww. That's the midgets you guys know. Peter from Game of Thrones and WeeMan from JackA$$. Nobody is throwing anyone here tonight." Brad Williams was hilarious. Peter was very good as a dramatic lead. You find yourself not noticing his height until they pull back and there is something for reference.

I posted a comment on another forum and they recommended "The Station Agent." I ordered it...
They say he is very good in that as well. IMDB says he won many awards and was nominated for a bunch more for that performance as well.

Might have to see about Game of Thrones on DVD. ;)

I highly recommend The Station Agent for many reasons, which includes his excellent performance. It is one of my favorite films.

I agree on " The Station Agent". Also, Patricia Clarkson is great, as usual, in the second lead.

That man is short in stature but huge in talent. We love the game of thrones and watch as often as possible. I'd watch anything he was in.

Watch him in "Elf" with Will Farrell. Great stuff.

I rewatched Elf, and the Station Agent came as promised on Thursday. Good performances all around.
