Mistered, loved it. That's my kind of music. Just a bit of trivia about Jessi Colter, did you know that way back in the day she was married to Duane Eddy?

Yea my age 'paralleled' the 'outlaw country' timeline and I identified with that!
However another from the late, great 'crooner' of country - Conway Twitty.

A friend of mine stopped by the other day and I was listening to music on the computer from you tube. He said when he came in "Listening to Elvis?" I said "No it's Terry Stafford." He said "I never heard of him." "That's Elvis Presley." So I had to show him. I believe this song was written by Terry Stafford.

Here is another song by him ten years before George Strait had it out. Terry Stafford also wrote this song with another guy.

Great singer that died way to early.

Suspicion by Terry Stafford was a hit top forty song when I was young; loved it then and love it now. I'd never heard Amarillo Morning, though. Thanks.

You found a great-sounding recording of Suspicion, Bandit!

I was in h.s. when it came out in 1964, and most everyone liked this song a lot. We had a favorite h.s. hangout near the school, which was called "Lemon Tree." Great homemade hamburgers & fries, but mostly known for their specialty sundaes. Remember the little restaurant table-top jukebox? We used to wear those out at Lemon Tree playing this song.

....thanks for the memory.

P.S. And "Lemon Tree" also brings back the memory of that song by Trini Lopez!!

:D Found a group that is new-to-me called "Jersey Boys." I'm listening to them right now. I think they are really good, and I am definitely smiling at the moment. :D

They are singing some of my favorite songs in this video, which were performed by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons many years ago (way back in the 1960s and 1970s). Kind of fun music. I used to have a Four Season 33-1/3 LP album, but it has been lost over the years. This video is a cool 8-) "replacement!"

The men's voices are so varied, and when you watch their faces, they are having a great time performing. Lots of smiles. ;) Enjoy!

Carol King's album Tapestry stands out as one of the greatest assemblies of music I've known. This is one of the reasons why.
Way Over Yonder

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uHWKrnzS48

Way over yonder
Is a place that I know
Where I can find shelter
From a hunger and cold
And the sweet tastin' good life
Is so easily found
A way over yonder, that's where I'm bound
I know when I get there
The first thing I'll see
Is the sun shining golden
Shining right down on me
Then trouble's gonna lose me
Worry leave me behind
And I'll stand up proudly
In true peace of mind
Talkin' about
Talkin' about
A way over yonder
Is a place I have seen
In a garden of wisdom
From some long ago dream
Oh yeah
Ooh maybe tomorrow
I'll find find my way
To the land where the honey runs
In rivers each day
And the sweet tastin' good life
Is so easily found
A way over yonder
That's where I'm bound
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
A way over yonder
That's where I'm bound

Vaquero, sorry for the late reply. Thank you for putting up M.K.'s "Lights of Toarmina" up. Like that song. Somehow, this thread got lost in my shuffle and just re-found it. Thanks again.
Also, "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" another poster put up is haunting. Another great song by G.L.
