A true 'giant' of westerns - and other venues has passed.

I was just in a local restaurant where they have a photo of him on the wall shaking hands with the owner. Probably taken at least 25 years ago.

RIP.

Not too long ago I watched the Dirty Dozen...a favorite WWII flick of mine. Clint Walker really played the role of the Indian, Samson Posey, quite well in that movie. Also was kind of cool that his character's first name was "Samson." A really good fit for a man of his stature. All in all, he was a good actor in most all things he did.

You're right, JEBar....that generation of actors/western stars is passing away.

May he rest in peace.

I enjoyed his acting very much too.

Clint W. has been on GRIT TV (FREE OTA aka 'over the air' tv stations.) on and off lately in several movies.

I read that he was a NICE man in real life - OFF SCREEN too.
