Re: Official 2019 NASCAR Thread
It turns out that Hendrick is lucky he still has one in it. Keselowski's poor performance is what made the difference, although we can't take away from Chase's great 2nd place finish to get it accomplished. The only thing that would had sealed the deal for sure would be to bump up one more and win it. But Denny saw it otherwise.

Well, my favorite, Rowdy, finished third. Now that's pretty significant since he had car problems and had to fight his way to the front again.
I hated to see Clint Boyer go as well. Really like him.

It almost seems like Kyle can drive anything. I remember him in a night race once where his car was scraping bottom and shooting sparks everywhere and he still drove it like crazy. The main reason he is as popular as he is, he's like a tough, old school driver, even though many "don't" like him.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 9:46 amWell, my favorite, Rowdy, finished third. Yes he can, never was a Big E fan, but the man sure could drive.Cowboy Gun Fan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 11:25 amIt almost seems like Kyle can drive anything. Kyle reminds me of him and his abilities.
He's my favorite if he never wins again.
Don't follow it like I did before, but I like to hear he's still driving the wheels off of 'em.
Go Rowdy !!

I'm still an all out fan. Although some of the changes I don't like and some of my old favorite drivers are now out of it, I'm still sticking to it. But, in my opinion, Kyle makes the sport even more interesting.

Re: Official 2019 NASCAR Thread
every few years a new generation of drivers comes on the scene and a another transition begins .... Kyle's driving is going through a normal maturation process .... while his talent is beyond unquestioned, he's not the daredevil that he once was .... growing older, having a wife and child tends to make one think where one used to just act .... he's a tough driver so long as things are going his way but when he comes out on the short end, he doesn't show a very high level of maturity .... Chase is a young driver who doesn't hesitate to driver deeper into a corner and stick his car's nose into tight spots where I bet in a few years will he'll be more prone to think about it first ....

Rowdy's maturity level has improved over the years, especially since he got a family. I do think he's still developing and not done winning yet.
There are a lot of young drivers who look very promising as well. Kyle Larson, Chase Elliot, ect. Going to be fun.

To me the new crop of drivers are just to young. I miss the old days of the "characters"...the guys that built up a personal style after years in the lower classes of racing.
Nascar needs to quit trying to make the sport like football! Need to dig up the original roots of the sport if any can still be found!
