I suspect that means Kenseth is done

apparently he's not living up to the stands expected by Roush .... earlier this season they took him out of the full time driver's seat and brought in Kenseth ....

AJ Allmendinger, who delivered JTG Daugherty’s first team win in a Watkins Glen thriller back in 2014, will not return to the No. 47 Chevrolet next year, the team has announced.

Allmendinger has driven the No. 47 for the Tad Geschickter-owned team since late in the 2013 season. His masterful win at The Glen was the highlight, with the dramatic victory qualifying the team for the postseason.

no clue who is on tap to take his place

Richard Childress Racing stayed in-house to fill the vacancy on its No. 31 Chevrolet in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, tabbing Daniel Hemric to man the seat beginning in 2019

JTG Daugherty Racing announced Sept. 28 that Ryan Preece will drive the No. 47 Chevrolet, taking over the seat from AJ Allmendinger.

there have been others at various levels of NASCAR ..... the first I remember at the cup level was in the 1976 World 600 .... Janet Guthrie finished 15th (ahead of the 3 car) .... she was the first woman to compete in a NASCAR Winston Cup superspeedway race .... Danica made it marketable .... if her driving skill had of matched her marketing skills, she'd still be in the sport .... sooner or later there will be a female driver who can
