as he said in a post race interview, the only pass he made all day .... so far as racing action is concerned, today was the worst race so far this year

Michigan should be better, I think.
Which engine configuration do they run there?

no clue .... the race was proof positive that NASCAR's commitment to making all cars equal is killing racing folks pay to see

I agree JEB, they are no longer filling the stands.
Say ten years ago it was HARD as H*** to get a seat at Bristol.
The last race there, I bet they didn't have a third of the seats filled.
What few races I've seen this year, I've noticed nearly the same at them all.

Don't give a Hoot about those darn stages either.

There did seem to be a good turn out at Charlotte though.

Even at the Indy 500 race. Only watched a little of it, but noticed some empty seats there too. Showing that it's not just a Nascar thing.

I believe that the introduction of the stages is an attempt to stimulate passing which is racing .... the more restarts you have, the more times the field is bunched to where drivers willing to take a chance and gain positions .... as such I'm OK with them

Well if the cars weren't cookie cutters of each other, there would be better racing.
They might as well be racing the old IROC cars.
I only watch these days when the weather is bad, or the evening races where there's not much else to watch.

Stage Racing is OK with me. What I do like about it, as mentioned a time or two before, would be Dale Jr for example. Way too many times Jr would be having a great day. Top 10 start, running up front, making great passes, having excellent pit stops, etc, etc, only to get caught up in a wreck or being knocked out somehow late in the race and ending up somewhere around 38th. I would say "all that great racing and great effort all day and then only having a 38th to show for it"?? That would be a little frustrating.

Stage racing would have given him credit that he would have otherwise lost.
