PBR Event

Post by TRock » Mon Feb 19, 2018 11:54 am

When my daughter was younger we used to watch bull riding together on television. A lot of good memories. This weekend she surprised me with tickets to a PBR event. I met her in St. Louis and had a great time at the event , but even better time sharing quality time with my daughter. With her husband in the military, these times just don't come around as often as I wish they did. Great weekend.

It has been too many years since I have been to any rodeo. Love the whole experience, the crowd, the sounds, the smells....even those downwind from the stables.
Glad you got to spend time with your daughter. When you speak to her again pass on my gratitude for her and her husband's service to our country.

I sure will, thank you. 12 years in and more to go. Proud of both of them.

JEBar, I looked at the website, wish I could attend that one. I noticed the mutton busting for the children. We were visiting a town in Texas called Bandero , near San Antonio and the locals told us about a ranch that had a rodeo that night. My family went and our favorite event was the kids in the mutton busting competition. Fun rooting on the future Cowboys and Cowgirls as they gave it their full effort.

Glad to hear it.

A few months ago we had a big rodeo event here in town (Vegas). I've never seen so many men and women in cowboy hats/boots and that includes my visits to Texas! They sure seemed to be having a great time in Vegas.

I was stationed in Hawaii for three years. They had a big rodeo there every year and I was able to attend. Great stuff. Time with the kids once they have their own lives and scatter is rare, good for you. Glad it went well.

That would be the National Finals Rodeo aka NFR. The Super Bowl of Rodeo.
