I know pit crews are. There have been recent members of various crews that have had to go through the Road to Recovery program.
In June 2018, Charles Moles, hauler driver for John Hunter Nemecheck was reinstated after completing NASCAR's Road to Recovery program. He had been suspended in April....

Per NASCAR.com ... Brian France is taking an indefinite leave of absence. Older brother - Jim France - will assume interim leadership duties.

Maybe Jim will do a much better job.

I really never cared much for Brian's takeover.

Fifteen-year premier series veteran Kasey Kahne revealed that 2018 will be his last full-time season in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Kahne, 38, currently drives the No. 95 Chevrolet for Leavine Family Racing.

“I’ve thought about this decision for many months, if not longer,” Kahne wrote on his Twitter account. “It’s time for me to step away from racing in NASCAR full time.”

Perennial NASCAR Xfinity Series contender Elliott Sadler announced Wednesday that he is ending his run as a full-time driver after the 2018 season. The veteran of more than 800 races in NASCAR’s national series and driver for JR Motorsports posted a statement on his website, ElliottSadler.com, announcing his decision.

“After much consideration and many conversations with my family, I’ve decided this will be my last season racing full time in NASCAR,” Sadler wrote. “It’s time for me, as Dad, to help my kids pursue their dreams.”

I'm not really surprised on Kasey's decision, but I am with Elliott's. He's on top of his game and although came mighty close, he never got that Championship. He could very well win it this year, but surprised that he doesn't want another try if this year does not work out.

Looks like Carl Edwards has started a new trend, even though he wasn't the first one to go out early, since Carl the number is increasing more rapidly. Not real good for Nascar really. Especially in these struggling times.

Did a little channel surfing last night and to my surprise, Fox had on the Truck Race at Bristol. John Hunter Nemechek seemed to have it wrapped up till the last few laps when his truck slowed do to some kind of Fuel issue. That allowed Johnny Sauter to win. Nemechek was able to salvage a 3rd out of it.
